No shadow lingers where the Lamb walks near,
No night remains when Heaven’s dawn breaks wide.
The grief-worn heart, once bowed beneath its fear,
Finds rest at last where every tear is dried.
The former things—our sorrows and our pain,
The aching silence of unanswered cries—
Are gathered up and cast from God’s domain,
Lost in the light that floods the endless skies.
Here death is hushed; its ancient sting is gone.
No mourning shrouds the day with muted gray.
The wounded soul awakens with the dawn
To breathe the air of God’s unbroken day.
For He who sits enthroned makes all things new,
Restoring what the world has worn away.
The promise stands, eternal, strong, and true:
That love Himself will wipe all tears away.
So walk in hope, though present trials stay;
Lift up your eyes beyond the veil of now.
For every sorrow borne along the way
Will meet its end before His radiant brow.
